Sage's Space Essay
They're learning about space at school. A few days ago I was wearing my favorite space t-shirt and Sage asked me about it. I explained about how the rules for what was and wasn't a planet were created and that meant that Pluto wasn't a planet anymore. We talked about this for probably a good thirty minutes because she kept asking questions and wanted to know more details about how a planet was defined.
This came home from school today.
"I love space. Earth is in it. So are other planets. Like Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. But not Pluto it is not a planet any more. The favorite one I love is Pluto. Poor Pluto. It's not a planet any more. I love Pluto."
